About the Chapel
We are based at The Royal National College for the Blind (RNC) and our primary aim is to provide real work experience opportunities to students from Arts & Media courses at RNC. Through working at the Chapel, students enhance their awareness of the wide range of employment options in the cultural industries and strengthen CVs and credibility in the job market.
The Chapel includes two performance venues, music recording studios, a live video production studio and a radio studio. Events include theatre, music, film, art exhibitions and short courses and the services we offer include venue hire, audio recording and video production.
We are also home to the ‘creative community’, a collection of arts and media professionals who we regularly work with, many of whom are resident at the Chapel. The creative community offers work placement opportunities to RNC students and we are developing the Chapel into a hub of creativity and enterprise to provide inspiration for students hoping to follow a career in the arts and media industries.
The Chapel is a community arts facility and we aim to provide a variety of arts events that meet the needs of the local area. Tickets for events are priced to be as inclusive as possible and we encourage you to get in touch and visit if you are interested in using the Chapel for your event or arts project.
We operate as a social enterprise to create income from cultural projects and productions to fund learning opportunities and more events for the local community.
